    Hey Fellas, new member.
I've recently purchased an Acer Aspire 5630-6803.
Now this laptop comes with with bluetooth, at least i think it does... it has a little on-off switch for the Bluetooth (bluetooth icon) right next to the wireless switch. I have tried turning it on but the light doesn come on; I have read on another post that if you power on the wireless card the Bluetooth should automatically come on (provided there is another bluetooth device within range), I have tested it with my bluetooth cell and mouse, but my devices nor the Laptop are detected, I've checked device manager and i do not see any bluetooth entries/devices. The funny thing is that the Bluetooth icon DOES appear on the Notification area (next to the time/clock).

    Anybody having same issue?
    Solution?

    Thanks

Check the box specs or the site/place where you bought it from, it should say if you have BT or not.

Though, a quick Google says it does - have you tried reinstalling the BT drivers?

Hey Wetnose, i meant to say that i did found the same info on some other laptop review site, basically it stated that this particular model (5630 6803)did come with Bluetooth; I was unable to find the particular site.
As recommended, i did install the BT drivers, but that did not work, I also tried a BIOS update, and a complete PC reload, same thing. no BT yet. I might take it back. dont want to call ACER again, was waiting for a looong time, got tired and hung up.
besides that, i dont know what else to do.

I too bought a Aspire 5630-6040 which seems to have bluetooth it but it never worked. It seem we will have to buy it as an option. Does anybody knows how to install one. I got one from another Acer but not sure where to start to see if it can work.
