This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Can't get started with USB boot (Acer 3810tz)

    Just hoping someone can confirm it's possible to boot from a USB stick on the Acer 3810 tz..

    My USB is recognised by it's label in the BIOS and I've set it to prioritise that over other drives (am trying to install Ubuntu btw), it hangs with a copyright line from the install software.

    By contrast on my Dell it launches straight into the ubuntu boot menu. Any ideas please?
