    Cannot boot after changing system locale

    The acer notebook I have is Canadian version running Vista Home Basic. When I change the locale from English (Canada) to Chinese (Taiwan), i cannot boot up and get a BSOD. Vista has to do a system restore to work again.

    This is the 2nd acer that it's happened on. The other acer netbook was running XP Home and it was an easy fix by copying the install files from another computer that didn't have this problem.

    This has never happened on any other (brand) computer I or my friends own.

    Is this an easy fix like XP where I can just copy the install files over? If yes, does anybody know where/what they are? Vista doesn't seem to have an i386 folder like XP.
