I am trying to remove the keyboard on my 1810T but for some reason it wont work.

I release the 4 tabs on the top but the side latches wont release. I tried to pry out the keyboard at the top where the 4 latches are and now my keyboard is arched. The top left corner wont stay locked anymore. I lock it down and it pops back up. I still cannot get the keyboard removed. I am really frustrated right now because I do not want to break this and I think I will have to buy a new keyboard.

There should only be the 4 tabs holding the keyboard down. Once these are released you should be able to lift up on the top portion of the keyboard to remove.

There are 4 «push» tabs at the top that hold the top portion of the keyboard down. Once those have been pressed, the top portion can be lifted up, but there are still two side latches that are like clips that cannot be pushed. I tried to lift the top part of the keyboard, but the thing won't come off. Now since I have used too much force, the top-left corner bulges out and won't stay down when I push the keyboard.

Oh no, what a nightmare... :-(

I had similar problems with my 3810T - it's very difficult (if not impossible) to take the keyboard out without damaging the grey plastic case behind. I believe the only solution is to use something like a dentist's pick and use something like a strong nylon paddle to lever the keyboard out (I think something like that is used to get iPods open).

Regarding the clips (I'm assuming the 1810T is the same) I found gently probing inside the clip slot with a needle can make them pop out again - but they're a terrible design IMHO as they're too fragile.

If you end up having to buy a new keyboard they cost around £15 (UK) on eB*y. It's weird that it hasn't just popped out though - and once it's out you can deal with the clips easier. Good luck.
