I have a travelmate 5720 which has a built in card reader. Whenever i insert my SD (normal 2gb not sdhc) card it makes the noise that something has been connected. When i click on my computer it says SD card (f:/) but when i click on it it tells me to insert card into f:/. Anyone have any experience of this or possible fixes. I was able to do it once before but has returned to not working. I am running vista home premium. Cheers

and nothing showing in device manager ?
error/event logs may show something !
and its a 2gig card, any chance you could get your hands on a 1gig. and try that :D
is the card locked (mine has a small slider on the side).

I have two 2gig cards i use a lot they both need to be unlocked to read. but my 1gig card will let you read, but not write too. when locked.

i cant get my hands on a 1 gig card, i have tried a 2gb sd card and a 2gb micro sd card in an sd card reader. Have also tried them in the unlocked and locked positions which does nt work either. How do you reisntall the drivers, im not to sure. i tried updating but it just said that it had the latest version. And the cards read ok in another laptop. Thanks for your help guys
