The charge light will only come on when you have it plugged in. Depending on the amount of charge on your battery it will be an amber (yellow) colour when charging and change to green once the battery is fully charged. ALA the outlet is plugged in the light will remain green.

When using on battery power the light doesn't come on at all. Hope this helps.

With mobile meter check the battery information .

    1) Manufacturer
    2) Designed capacity
    3) Full charge capacity
    4) Wear level
    5) Remaing wattage

Report your reading here and may be we could find the solution

    1) SMP-SONY
    2) 65120 mWh
    3) 61350 mWh
    4) 5%
    5) 61350 mWh (<-- Note: That is when the battery is at 100%)

Also, I am using ePowermanagement, and if I set it to "MAX", or
"LOW", MobileMeter still says am operating at 1.5GHz.

    5) 5591 mWh (At 91% battery)

    <hr height='1' noshade id='quote'></font id='quote'></blockquote id='quote'>

Shiftis are u sure its only 5591 mWH, if so thats the problem
It may be either due faulty smart battery subsystem or the battery itself

Do one thing first of all uninstall e power management, reboot and use windows power mangement see if the charging indicator gets over 91% . Then switch off your laptops and leave it for charging for about 3 hours untill the orange light turns green

if the light does not turn green after 4 hours of charging (with laptop off) then its time to contact acer

Oh, that 91% thing was just because it was at 91% when I recorded the info.
And I think I may have missed a number, i'll check again once it has charged up...

Okay, I checked again, and edited my post...

The light still appears to be yellow when the battery is at full capacity.

I'm not sure, I've haven't really tested. I also haven't stayed at 600/554/whatever for an entire charge.
