Hi every one; most of time i use ac power source; so my battery is fully charged and use it just from 1 to 2 times every 2 weeks; my question is if battery is fully charged does it is best to remove it while i use AC power or leave cause notebook manage this and do not charge it again; some one please clear me this point cause i,m confused.

I usually remove my battery if I'm plugged in and not charging. I would store the batter in a cool and dark place (in my drawer or cupboard) and when I bring it out I drain it all the way down to 3-5% before I charge them back up and once it's fully charged I remove it and store it away. Maybe it's old habit and I don't need to do it anymore with today's technology but I find that it works for me

I dont charge if used it until become nearly empty about 3-5% as you said; but what anoising me that if removed my battery my notebook becomes not stable cause battery acts like amain leg for notebook so i should put a book or something to make it stable; is it not recommended if i left it in my notebook? i will be so happy if there is something that can be placed instead of battery to make it standing correctly like if the battery is placed in notebook

So no one can advise me what can i do

Just a theoritical perspective...
We all know battery has life, over the time, battery dies, why? It runs out of the juice which was pure and concentrated once. If you let your battery come down to 3-5% power left and then start recharging, it gets recharged, but you've used up a lot of concentration. If you do that on a regular basis, your battery looses concentration faster = dies faster.
Like drinking 1/3 of a glass of iced tea, and fillup the glass with water. The glass is still full, but it has no taste anymore.
Somebody shout at me for my weird theory
But I recharge battery (digital camera, camcorder, mobile phone, laptop) as I am using. My 5 year old digital camera and camcorder battery is giving me a great services. -
You mean once it is charged 100% then it continue to charge without caring if it is fully charged or not
Edit:
All i want to know now if it is fully charged does i leave it in notebook while using AC Power or remove it is better ? -
I run mine on battery till it needs to be recharged then I plug it in. If I still need to use my rig after the battery is charged while plugged in then I remove the AC and run on battery.
Every couple of months I totally drain my battery down and do a complete fresh charge up to full power.
Yes, most Acer batteries have one leg on the battery itself so if the battery is removed the unit won't sit right.
If you know you will use your rig often (like me on either one of my laptops) just do that cycle use laptop on battery till charge is down then recharge, after full recharge remove AC and run on battery, repeat till you know your battery won't take a full charge and by that time you'll have to buy a new battery (usually a few years away).

I strongly recommend that you read this page - http://www.batteryuniversity.com/parttwo-34.htm - as many assumptions based on past practices for charging are out-dated.
Best practice is to remove from the AC, but not at 100% charge. The battery should be stored at 40-50% charge only. Batteries constantly under charge do last for less time than those removed.
But FWIW, I leave my battery in all the time, that way if there is a power outage (and it does happen, albeit rarely, where I live) my laptop can hibernate gracefully instead of crashing shut! Also, I like to just pick it up and go when I need to - that's why I bought a laptop not a desktop! I never let it drain completely, that harms Li-On batteries as you will see in the above link, but do as Sillious said above, keep topping up as you use - although his explanation seemed weirdhe was right on the nail with the answer to long life lithium battery use.
But if you are at home, never need the battery as power back-up, then yes, removal equals longer life. -
In my Acer manual, they recomend taking the battery off while on AC power. But as far as I know The notebook knows when the battery is fully charged and wont charge it if so.
Someone mentioned a while ago that it was more of a "heat issue" (heat lessens battery life). Some notebooks gets warm/hot in someplaces (HD or CPU) in some cases close to the Battery compartment and heats up the battery even though you are not using it( on AC). In some cases though this is not an issue. -
hi all,
what is the normal recharge time for a travelmate 4402? When my 4402's battery is about 10-15%, i need to charge to 100% about 8-9 hours, or more! When my battery is on 65-70%, it's about 1-2 hour to charge to full..
I think, this values are badbecause the 4400's docs says, that
charge times are 2,5hour in fastcharge mode (whats this??) and 3,5hour with working charge.
