If my laptop won't charge, even when it's plugged into the wall, is it the battery or the power cord? (It shows that it's plugged up, but it's not charging. The power cord's light is showing green-as it normally would.)

I went to get a battery for my ACER 5050 laptop and they told me that it isn't the battery or the charger at all, a piece from my charger port came out of the laptop and was lodged into the charger. They removed it for me but I can't charge the laptop at all. Is this fixable?

A non-charging battery is usually a sign of a dead battery. If you can run your laptop with only the power adapter and no battery, then it's unlikely the charger port that's at fault.

Ok your laptops power plug is damaged ... yes it can be repaired .

The power plug cost on eBAY as 4-5$ ... and some one will have to do the fixing .

Other option is an ACER service shop , this could be a safer way,
if you do not have other options near you.
