Hi there...im new to this forum and i have a weird problem with my Acer Travelmate 4152 LMi. Battery is 6 months old. when on ac power, and after a fresh reboot, the battery charges upto about 70% till which it is on ac power. once it reaches 70%,the ac power switches off by itself and it runs solely on battery power till it drains. the only way to recharge is to shut the laptop off fully and then charge when it is fully shut down, after which it charges to capacity. any ideas to solve this weird issue? its driving me crazy. am a surgeon and make a lot of presentations. any help will be appreciated thank u.....

I'm not sure whats causing it, but have you tried running the computer without the battery?
