    Hi guys,

I have a been a right prize plonker and need some possible advice! I recently gave up smoking and started chewing this awful nicotine gum to take away the craving. One night i couldnt be bothered to put my gum in the bin so I left it on my laptop and would place in bin on my way past it.

Obviously forgot to put gum in bin, closed laptop, got up in morning, opened laptop only to find gum stuck to screen! I have managed to get the gum off but now im left with this stain that i cant remove. Looks weird, as if its on the other side of the lcd, maybe i have damaged the protective lining?

Is there anyway to sort this other than getting my LCD replaced?

    Thanks in advance

If this is indeed LCD 'bleeding' then there`s little you can do except for praying it won`t spread.

The bleeding your referring to does not seem to be the problem. Its like a bit of cling film behind some glass.

Is it actually embedded into the screen? If it's just on the surface, might be worth trying one of those LCD/Plasma screen cleaning kits (they usually come with a cloth or two and bottle of solution).

also to best view it, dont lean into your screen, lean away from it
