Hello everyone.
As you can see, I'm quite new in this forum but so far, I've been impressed with the quality of many threads and many of them helped me in some way. So, here I am asking for your help![]()
Like the title says, I've got a problem with the CineDash Media Console. Well, in fact, when I got my notebook(there's 3 weeks now), I realized that CineDash wasn't working at all. Like you can all imagine, I wasn't very happy but I couldn't do anything in my current situation : I live on an isle (which is called Mauritius) and I don't think there is any Acer support in my country and even if there is, I don't think that they're as reliable as the other countries. In two months, I'm going to France to study at University and I pretty sure that they've got some Acer support over there, so I'm actually waiting since the CineDash problem doesn't really bother me.
The real problem that I have started today : don't know why. When I powered my laptop on, the sound was on maximum and I couldn't lower it using Windows "Volume Mixer" or the remote control because the sound was going up all by itself every time I trid to lower it. My only solution was to put mute, which actually worked. I then restarted the laptop, and now, I regained control of the sound volume with my Remote control and Windows Volume Mixer, but when I look at the CineDashMediaConsole, it indicates that the sound is at its maximum, even though I can raise it or lower it via Windows. This is weird.
So, can anyone help me ? Do i need to reinstall windows or something ?

Have you tried to set from volume tray, right click on it, and open adjust audio properties.

hi
if you have made the recovery disks, then for sure do a full restore of your Drive C: and when the windows installation is done it will start installing the drivers then theres a chance of getting it done because this is what i did when i got the problum, now it works fine
so just give a try -

Hello Feoras, and welcome to the Forum
I want you to try something, I know when you read this youll be a bit suspicions but trust me, it worked for me...
Basically when I first got the laptop my cinedash didnt work, and since I live in Syria sending it to Acer was not a option, I googled the problem and saw a comment to a review saying
"TO EVERYONE WHO HAS A 6920G WITH A BUGGED CINEDASH, BOOT UP YOUR COMPUTER, MAKE SURE IT FULLY LOADS TO WINDOWS, THEN WHILE ITS STILL ON REMOVE YOUR BATTERY!!!! WHEN YOUR TURN IT BACK ON ITLL WORK!!!!!!!"
Now the capitalization and such made me think it was some idiot trying to destroy my laptop, but what the hell right?
I tried it, and what do you know, i shrieked with joy, my cinedash actually worked...
I hope itll work for you, basically I turned on my laptop, let it load to windows, then when it was still on i removed the battery from the bottom, I then put back the battery inside, turned it back on and the cinedash worked!
Try it for yourself, however Im not responsible for any damage that may be caused I'm just sharing my experience and Im hoping you'll have the same one...
If you do try this, please tell us if it worked or not...coober likes this. -
Oh my God, it actually worked !
I can't tell you how happy I am ! (but I'm pretty sure you already experienced that same feeling)
Now CineDash works perfectly, no more sound problems. At last...it's really nice to see that my laptop now works like it should.
Very very very big thanks to you ! I don't even think this is enough to thank you for your help ! -
Wow....just wow...

That is a strange way to fix this
Well was reluctant to do it but it works! Thanks!!
I can only guess maybe it's something to do with a static build up? -
