I have a TM201Lmi, and much of the time when I go into hibernation, I am unable to come back out of it. It locks my computer, so you have to enter your user password get back into your system after hibernation (a feature I like), but much of the time, my keyboard is unresponsive and will flat out not let me type anything. I try to type in my pw and the password box just stays blank. I end up having to hold down the power button and do a hard reboot. Has anyone else run across this problem on any other Acer laptops?

    Thanks

    Javyn

i've had issues with no mouse input out of standby...going into and back out of standby fixed it.

try flashing the latest bios 1.60?
theres something in the changelog about keyboard errors.

Maybe it's a driver issue? Check their website.

yeah i've checked their website, my drivers are all up to date. a clean format and reinstall of windows is of course my next step, but i just don't want to do that until service pack 2 is out. i was hoping someone had the same prob and knew a quick fix hehe. i hope i dont have to flash the bios....if you screw that up, doesn't it mean your computer is fried for good?

acer's flash utility runs from windows..and is relativly safe as long as your on AC power. (hell, even the battery would be safe, its a few second flash)

and its not like this hardware is prone to BSOD.
the only way to frag it with a firmware flash is to run it on battery, and physically remove the battery while doing it.
