    Hi Guys
I read the review you have posted for the new Acer Aspire 9402 and it sounds exactly like something I would like to order. My concern is does anyone know anything about this 9400 Series and also has anyone ever had to deal with this company pertaining to their warranties?

I know very little about this company and was wondering if any of you members could help me. I really would appreciate it and if I do get this PC I will be sure to post a review for you.

By the way I have never ordered from a company like the ones that are listed that sell this product. I mean it seems that if I do not like this Laptop I am just "up the creek". Am I right on that or not?

Thanks guys for any help you can be.

Sorry but this is the wrong section for this. I don't know too much about Acers, but generally I've seen Aspires don't have the best build quality.

Maybe you could fill out the FAQ and we could find something good for you, and, of course, post it in the corresponding section.

Acer has been around for quite a while actually. As far as quality goes, they are pretty OK. The Aspire is their cheaper consumer line and having previously owned a Aspire 3000 they have acceptable build quality. I didnt need to contact for any warranty repair since I had no issues with the laptop for the year I owned it, so cant really comment on that.

Regarding places to purchase Acer, some of the online stores are pretty good, but do check on their ratings at http://www.resellerratings.com . This should give you a good idea on the stores reliability. You can also find the Aspire 9400 is regular brick & morter stores like Circuitcity. They currently sell a lower end version of the 9400. If you do have CC store near by you can go and check its quality there.

Acer is the fastest growing laptop manufacturer in the world and currently is the 4th largest manufacturer of notebooks, they are relatively unknown in the US market dominated by Dell but they do sell well in Europe and Asia.
