As you can see, the two programs read the Brand ID differently which gives me a different Code Name. Georgetown in one case and Sonora in the other.

In the past 18 months I have upgraded the following items: Battery to 8 cells, HD to 80 GB 5400 WD and memory to 1.5 GB. Next on the agenda is to upgrade the processor from the Georgetown/Sonora Sempron 2800+ to a Turion MT 34. I will be monitoring the heat quite closely after the mod.

Have you tried using the latest version of CPU-Z? Georgetown seems to be th codename for the DTR series semprons. I owned the aspire 3000 series for a while and the Sempron it shipped with was definately Sonora...
    http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=56051

In any case there shouldn't be any heat issues with the Turion MT series as they have the same TDP(25W) as the Sonora Semprons and is much lower than the DTR Semprons.

Thanks, Miner. With the latest version of CPU-Z my report is accurate. However, I noticed that even with the older version of CPU-Z your chip reported correctly on your link.
