I have a problem. My TV doesn't understand S-video. It only has composite RCA inputs. Anyone knows how to connect a 4500 Acer laptop to a TV in this case?
Actually I didn't find any clues of anything related to a TV neither in my video drivers nor in bios. Is it OK?

You can get yourself an SVideo to RCA adapter. Here's a site that carries this part and also has a picture of what it looks like.

    FYI:
Acer uses 7-pin Svideo not the std 4pin one... so you will need one of these

    Thanks for the answers, but

I have a cable just like that. When using this cable my TV screen remains black and I can't attach second monitor. After pressing "apply", it returns to unattached state. What am I doing wrong? Will cables from s-video.com help me?

The cable you brought is std 4 pin svideo cable and it wont work...i have tried and had the same problem

As i mentioned in the above post you have to get 7pin S-video cable to RCA converter Then only it will work

    Hope this helps
