I bought a Seagate portable drive that connects by USB, and when I connect it to my Aspire 6930, I notice that it is only detected in the BIOs when the notebook is first turned on. If I reboot, then it no longer detects it until I power down and back up agian.

In Windows Vista the drive is always detected and I can use it normally. But I would like to make it a bootable drive, and I'm going to have trouble if the BIOS can't detect it properly.
