    Control fan speed on my Acer?

    Is there any way to control the fan speed on my Acer 7741g laptop? I have the latest BIOS, and i tried speedfan but i cant get it to work.

    SpeedsFan never works on laptops- almost in fact nothing does.
    You can manipulate fan speed to a degree with RW-Everything and there are one or two apps written for specific notebooks (Aspire One and Aspire 6930 if I'm not mistaken) but that's about it.

    Hello;

    I appreciate you giving this information; I've been spending countless hours trying to figure out why my SpeedFan wasn't working; I couldn't even see the fans detected in the list.

    Would you be able to divulge more information on RW-Everything? I'd really like to better monitor my fans.
    If at all possible, I'd really like to see more information about these one or two apps written for these specific notebooks. I have an Aspire 7741G-3647, and I'm hoping to possibly lodge some information from this, hopefully using an app written for a similar version of a laptop.

    I appreciate any and all help given! :D

    Search in this forum for AcFanControl thread. This is an utility to control fans on some ACERs. Or you can go to that topic by clicking on "Fan controlled by AcFanControl" on my signature.
