Well my wife and I picked up an Acer 6920G. So far we like it. She wants to use it sometimes at night in bed to play WoW so I was looking for a good cooling pad for it. So what are some good ones out there?

if one is going to use it on a soft surface (bed, couch, pillow, etc..) you will still be blocking the fans for most notebook coolers on the market.

    you should look towards the:
    - Cooler Master Infinite

... since its one of the only coolers that pulls air from the back, rather than from the bottom.

or get an inexpensive lapdesk (looks like a pillow with a flat, hard surface mounted on it)... you can find it for $10-15 even at Barnes & Noble
    http://gifts.barnesandnoble.com/Home-gift/Black-Laptop-Lapdesk/e/9780641830785/?itm=5

just make sure to monitor the temps and don't block the vents/fans under the notebook.

Thanks. I think she will do both. I have been just laying it on the bed but since I have not been gaming (busy installing all the software) has not gotten warm for me.

That laptop cooler on Ebay looks pretty nice.... I'll probably try and bid on some if they have free shipping!

In my laptop , I added 4 bigger square rubber pads , that I got for free from an old device , and I used double sided sticky tape , to attach them .

The laptop stands 1cm higher from the table , and any possible issues of temperature or spilled water on the table , has gone away , plus I do not need to move any pads , here and there ..

    Cost : zero .
