    You will be better off by purchasing a Zalman ZM-NC1000 cooling pad. It pushes air up into your lappie from the bottom and should work great together with your Acers normal cooling system.

    And yeah, that's why some coolers work great on some lappies and not on others. It depends on the way the lappies cooling system was designed. A cooling pad should compliment and not hinder the lappies normal cooling system airflow.

    my cooling pad(home made) draws air, the fan is just under the ram cover grills and draws air through the laptop over the cpu,gpu heatsink at the side.
    laptop is used to fry eggs when cooling pad is off.
    saves on gas and i can type and fry at the same time...
