Ok I have a question about something I might try for my acer, altough the brand shoudn't matter.

Since my laptop gets quite hot and my nvidia 8 serie is dying slowy I was thinking, since I only use my laptop as a dekstop replacement anyway, of unscrewing the bottom of my laptop so the laptopcooler would have more effect.
My question is: is this a good idea? or will my computer become polluted with dust which will make my hardware components defect?

I hope its possible because I'm also interested in buying one of the new asus g series but they tend to get quite hot...

No, nothing will spoil but more dust will enter.
For 1 it will sure look ugly.

So your saying the dust does no harm?
btw, it wont look ugly because you can't see underneath the laptop.

Dust will clog up your fan exhaust, reducing its effectiveness.
Thus, removing the buttplate may very well increase the heat level of your laptop.
But otherwise, it shouldn't damage components.

Over time when dust accumulate it will still get hot.

You can't see it but it feels that something is missing...
