I have kept up with the threads about the current drivers and such but there are still a few small issues that you acer guys may be able to help me with.
First and foremost, I did a fresh install of Windows 7 64 bit so there may be some additional drivers I need to install due to the fresh install.
1. The green eco-mode button does not seem to work anymore
2. When I turn the trackpad off via the button, it will not turn back on (It does light up and the light goes off after I press it the second time, the trackpad just does not work at that point).
3. I have a dead pixel it seems in the middle of the screen. Is this common? I actually just noticed it when I was typing this and I was wondering if this was a common thing? Its not technically a dead pixel, more of a "white circle".
Thanks in advance.

For 1 and 2
go to acers website and go to the driver download section and select you model from the list. When the list of drivers come up select windows 7 Home/Ult/etc x64 from the drop down and then at the top select application and download and install both LauchManager Application and PowerSmart Manager Application and that should fix your buttons not working correct.
about the dead pixel it is common most MFGs require 7 or more dead pixels i know when we do warranty work if there are more then 3 dead in the field of view (center of the screen) we replace it... it is just part of have a device with a LCD.
Thanks

I would recommend getting more updated drivers and or reinstalling them.
For Synaptics, For ALPS

Thanks guys! I will try what EMT said first. I think don't think I tried the launch manager or epower drivers.
As far as the trackpad, I am using the synaptics drivers. I like their 2 finger scrolling the best... could that be whats causing the issue? I could always try and get the newest version of the drivers and see if that works?
As with the stuck pixel... I thought there was a way or a web page that flashed the screen and helped jumpstart odd color issues.

The Epower driver that weinter linked to worked like a charm. I did not yet restart to try the first driver though. Thanks! -
The trackpad button now turns off the trackpad and shows an onscreen display. When trying to turn it back on though, I got the same issues. I am now downloading the synaptics driver that was suggested above and am going to see if that works. Thanks again everyone for your help.
