I bourth a Acer Aspire 5021WLMI some time ago, and now it has a crack on the back of the screen. Acer wont repair it, because they say its my own fault, be I really havent done anything that could be the reason for the crack.
So if anyone has the same problem, plz let me know. I want to know if I am surpose to pay for it myself.

    Thank you

It won't be of much help but next time stay away from buying Acer. You'd be better off buying HP, Lenovo, Sony or even Dell (-;. Acer uses very poor quality components when it comes to the "body" of the laptop, i.e. plastic. The exception is Acer Ferrari (carbon-fiber). Acer won't honour your warranty unless you purchased so called Accidental Damage Service . I'm sorry but you're going to have to live with your broken laptop

Yup, mine is cracked to, only bought in september 2005, two cracks one above each hinge. and they are getting bigger.
I havent got a special warranty or anything, is there anything I can do? Im living in the UK (scotland)
This is really shoddy, definately not "mechantlable quality"!

    I'll post a photo later....

its a long time i gave up buying acer laptops.the first days i found the corners of the hings broken then the lcd malfunctioned.there became a blank column in the lcd which didnt work.now after a month there is a crack on the back of the lcd.why should such bad materials used when u pay about 1000$?acer support seems to be reluctant.i advise everybody not to buy acer.
