Well, you are in luck. I happen to have an Acer TravelMate 4400.
It doesnt have the CrystalBright whatever, but the screen looks pretty good in my opinion. It is sharp, shows good contrast, and there is no really noticable ghosting in games like CS or Far Cry.
I had an HP Pavilion zv5000 before I got the Acer, and it had a Brightview display, similar to the crystalbright. It was sharper and looked better than the Acer's, but it got dirty really easy, and EVERYthing showed up on it, like dust particles and fingerprints. It was great though.
The Acer Ferrari 4000 has the crystalbright, I believe, and is similar to the 4400, but in my opinion, the 4400 cant be beat for the money (why I bought it).
So, I would suggest going to best buy or something like that and doing a comparison between the glare/non glare screens and see for yourself. The best way to decide on a notebook is to go see it in person. Unfortunatley, Acer is not that popular here in the US, but there are a lot of laptops that have similar parts. So, go and check out the screens for yourself, then make a decision. It helped me -
The glossy screen from different manufacturer are similar so just go into any shop and have a look if you like the glossy display. I did just that and personally prefer the old matte screen as the glossy ones are too reflective with lights everywhere on it. Although the image display though the screen might look clearer and brighter.
