Ok so i managed to cut one of the wires that attach the lcd screen to the card that inserts into the mother board. Needless to say splicing it back together didnt work. Can these wires be purchased that has the little connector on the end that attaches to the lcd monitor and the card?? Really dont want to buy a new screen just because of a wire.

What model is your laptop. You can buy the wire seperate.

I have a one from an acer aspire 5315 spare. Not sure if it would fit.

    Part No: DC02000G800.

If this won't fit, type the part number (if you know it) into google and it should come up with some results.

Ok nevermind the above post i googled and found a site. But the wire you have indicated is the wrong one. Im talking about the two wires (black and white) that come out of the lcd display and attach to the removable card on the mother board. You have to remove the card to remove the lcd display.

What were you doing when you cut the wire, would be handy to know!!!

Did you take the screen apart??? Are all of the wires connected properly.
