Just tried to use the Acer eRecovery tool to create some Recovery DVD's, about 10 minutes into the process I recieved an error that the program could not burn to the DVD (it is a DVD-RW disc).

I then tried to format another new DVD-RW, and again recieved another error after about 5 minutes that it couldn't format the disc (unfortunately I clicked ok or cancel before writing down the exact error code/message).

    Any ideas?

    Tx

Have you tried burning a disc with another program to see if it is an issue with the drive or with the disc burning software. My wife's desktop (an Acer) had a defective drive since I couldn't get the NTI disc burning software or the Ashampoo burning software to work.

Looks like it was just two faulty DVD's, tried a third and it ended up working fine. Weird as they were brand new.

    Thanks for the help.
