I forget now what DVD playing software came with the 8204, but either way, I no longer have a DVD Decoder after my install.

Any suggestions? Is there any way to recover the original DVD install files?

Depends, I would guess (haven't tested) that if you made the application backup DVD/CD then you should be able to get it off that.

If you did a fresh install without making any backups then no.

Original software is CyberDVD I believe.

Well, I made a backup, but apparently not an application backup.

Has anyone asked Acer for an app CD? Are the apps avail for download anywhere?
