    DVD drive replacement for Aspire 5100-3357

    I need to replace the dvd drive for acer aspire 5100-3357 with another internal dvd drive but I don't know the type or the model # I need to look for, all I know is that it is a super multi double layer and supports
    DVD +- DOUBLE LAYER/DVD+-RW. Suggestions for brand/model and where to buy are needed.

    Brand doesn't matter that much and you can buy one on eBay no problem- all that matters is if you need one that has a PATA connector or SATA connector.

    I've checked the service manual and it's PATA connector.
    So any PATA notebook drive will work.
