I have an Acer Aspire 4530 that shipped with Vista, I installed XP Pro without a problem using slipstream with the sata drivers. My problem is that the DVD-RW multi recorder is being recognized as a DVD RAM drive only, can't write to it at all. Any help is certainly appreciated! Thanks.

I'm using NTI Media Maker 8, the SW that came with the computer.

The NTI Media Maker has an option for web update , try this first,
you could possibly get support over the DVD-RW as device.
