Has anyone been able to use the DVI out to TV successfully. I'm trying a DVI to HDMI cable into my DLP HD TV with no luck. I've made sure that the "force TV detection" was enabled and the TV monitor did show up in the advanced settings and I have ticked the "Extend desktop" option also enabled. What puzzles me is that when I use any type of driver either ATI's own or the Omega versions on my desktop system, it always loads TWO sets of drivers. Not so for this Acer. The Control panel only shows one adapter under hardware devices rather than the two I usually see for my desktop system. Any thoughts?

Yes. It works mostly fine with a standard DVI-D single link cable. I had to fight with the computer to recognize the LCD; seems when I turned the cable around, it worked fine. (which is just weird.)

PC resolutions appear as you'd expect them (often scaled), but the display's native resolution, 1366x768, has a slight problem. I am still attempting to diagnose this problem and will ultimately ask if I can take my laptop and DVI cable into the store and try this on the display model if things do not get better. (Update: the TV is defective.)

"Force TV detection" is for svideo output.

showing 1 device might have something to do with this laptop having PCI Express video.
