I have my 1962WLMi last week and I like its performance/cost ratio a lot! However, I need to carry it around for work so 2.95kg is a bit more heavy to me...

I want to extract the DVDROM from the main unit so that it can be lighter in weight while I don't need it. However, I found that I have no "unlock-lock mechanical switch" at the position of the end of the optical drive. There is the unlock mark at there but the lock switch is simply gone.

From your overclock article, you have opened up the 169x before. Can you tell me if there is simple way that I can plug and unplug the optical drive if needed? I tried to undo the 4 screws around the ROM but seems the drive is still firmly held by some lock or what....

Looking forward for your reply and thank you very much! I really need your help la.... [ :(]

It's a tool I can't remember where I found, it was in search of an FSB overclocker, in that sense it was useless. But it allows me to choose multies from 15 down to 6 and a voltages from stock max (2ghz 1.356v) to stock min (600mhz 0.988v) so while your power options give you those, the program allows you to set anything inbetween and something I have not done yet, see if at stock max it can use a lower voltage and still be stable.

If you mail me then I can send you a copy through email (mine is in my sig) make sure your mailbox will recieve 256k files.
