I have notice that both my PCMCIA and Ethernet devices are disable when I start up each time. All I have to do is go to the device manager and right click enable and they come to life.

Is this normal? Is there something I can do to keep them enabled automatically?

Sounds like something to do with the Acer ePower Management software. Do you still have it installed on your system? When you set it to low power it disables the PCMCIA and LAN.

You sir are very right about that!

I forgot that I still have ePower enabled even though I loaded NHC...

ePower is set to disable the lan, pcmcia and firewire.

Many thanks for solving that mystery for me!
