I have an Acer 8943g x64 with a Core i5 CPU and 8gb of RAM. I had a lot of corrupted .dll's so I decided to reformat. Now that it's done I can't seem to get my startup or boot performance to where it should be. I have 11 items in the start-up and I have went through my services and either disabled a few of the useless ones or put some on manual if they didn't need to be auto-started. I am running ESET Nod32 AV 6.00 and Comodo free firewall with Windows Defender in the background. When I go to the Event Viewer I noticed to day that and earlier that my Boot Performance is either listed Error or Critical. Never a warning and there usually isn't more than one error like today 102 ESET Helper Driver. That was also listed as an error yesterday in the Boot Performance. The fastest boot was 81 seconds which I still find slow and the number 100 Boot Performance is listed as Critical. How can I get this straightened out where the Boot Performance isn't listed as an error or Critical and there aren't so many red x's. Here is a screenshot of th event Viewer Boot Performance.

What happens if you uninstall NOD32 for testing?

What does that mean, uninstall for testing? What would I be testing, the ESET or the system and how would I go about it? I am more concerned with all the errors and criticals in Boot Performance.100. Every one of the 100/Boot Performance is either an error or a Critical which I assume is just a Critical error. Man does this suck. Especially after a reformat. I will uninstall ESET and then re-install and differentiate between times. With it/ without it.
I uninstalled ESET and restarted and the boot took about 130 seconds this time with an error from audiodg.exe and explorer.exe. Both with the 101 code in the event viewer. What is the correct version of explorer.exe for Windows 7 x64 Home Premium. The version # I mean? I am curious. As you can see the boot took longer after the eset uninstall.

I was wondering if NOD might be causing your issues. uninstall it and see if it improves the situation.
While it is a very good anti-virus it tends to be trouble some for some time after new version is launched.
