This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Hi, Has anyone had problems installing the latest MS updates.On clicking "Restart now to complete installation" the system just hangs, with the "windows is configuring updates" message.No HD activity so after 10 mins had to do a forced shutdown.On rebooting it went back to "configuring updates" , then did a restart on it's own and appears O.K. (Says updates installed succesfully). Anyone else experience problems?
    It seems to be KB943899 that is the trouble.Some other forums (Meshownersclub) have had similar problems.
