    Hello,

the two models are: acer 5740g and acer 5745g

i am wondering if is there a difference in the screens specs because the 5740 screen spec is:
    "Acer® CineCrystal full HD 15.6" (1366 x 768) high-brightness (220 nit) TFT display "

    5745:
    Acer® CineCrystal HD 15.6" (1366 x 768) high-brightness (200-nit) TFT LCD

does it make sense that the brightness is not the same?

and second question is does the speakers of both laptops are the same?

    thanks

Brightness depends on a panel used not on a notebook. Acer uses different panels on the same model. It's possible that 5740G uses 220-nit ones and for 5745G they used cheaper ones to cut costs but typo is more equally likely.

As for the speakers it's very unclear- I own an Aspire 5740G and I'm rather pleased with the sound quality but there are other people that say the speakers are terrible. Since I do care about sound quality and I wouldn’t confuse "terrible" for "pretty good" I suspect different speakers may be used even on the same model- depending on current supply stock.
Don't expect miracles though- notebooks that have really good speakers are advertised as such- the rest is at best average in terms of quality.

    thanks,

and yes, i heard the acer 5740g speakers and it was pretty good for notebook speakers, i am concerned that in my new 5745 (suppose to be deliverd on mondey) the speakers would be worse.

i hope its typo because this 200nit appears also in acer 5741, maybe its the same screen and they just fixed a fault brightness spec or something like that.

You never know- mine are good too but I read review that stated that the only case 5740G sounded good was in comparison with an old Dell with one speaker. So it can go both ways but since you can't do anything about it don't worry about that.
Just remember- if your notebook has Dolby Home Theatre- keep "audio enhancer" option checked in Realtek sound manager. That's the single most important option that make the sound better.
