***HELP***- I been trying with no success in finding out how to disable the built in mic on the Travelmate 2480- its running XP. When I plug in another microphone I am getting huge amounts of feedback and echoing. I am trying to conference call with my partner who is across country for work and its killing his ears!

    Any advice?

    Thanks- Lorie

start->control panel ->sounds and audio devices->voice->(under voice recording choose your microphone for device and click the volume button underneath....a recording control menu should come up.....and mute the particular devices you want to mute)

    hope this helps
