I tried to switch from the flat panel monitor to my 5672 monitor by pressing "fn+f5" and "fn+f6" and nothing happened. I have the ati catalyst 6.10 drivers installed and the other buttons work. IS there a way i can fix this.

i have the omega 6.7 and those buttons don't work for me either.

but what you can do is set up hotkeys to accomplish the same results, but with more flexibility as to the settings. do that inside the catalyst. now when i press cnlt-alt-d it turns off the laptop screen turns on the lcd panel and switches the resolution. cntl-alt-n returns everything back (no ext monitor)

I agree. Go into the Catalyst Control Center. Hot Keys and monitor options should be in there. Its very possible those funtion buttons may only be tied to Acer ATI drivers, but im not sure. All in All, the CCC should have your options in there.

I have a fresh install of XP Pro and I didn't load all the Acer stuff. Did you nuke the launch manager or any of the other Acer stuff that probably controls that key?
