    Do 2GB*2 heat more than 1GB*2 ?

    It seems to me ,the hottest place of my 5672 is the spot above memory slots.
    This place is hotter than HD spot.

    I am not sure that RAM makes this heat (maybe other chip ), but it looks like that.

    I would like upgrade RAM from 512k*2 to 2GB*2, but I am worry about the heat now.

    How much heat do memory sticks generate ?

    Is it safer to install 1GB*2 instead 2GB*2 ?

    How can I check CPU temp, HD temp , etc . ?

    I wouldnt really worry much about the heat from RAM configurations. The same voltage goes through the sticks.

    RAM can heat up abit. They will still last for decades though..
