    Hello,
Since they merged, do Acer laptops share the same laptop chassis ?
For models with a 15.6 screen, can I switch out an Acer screen for a Gateway screen?

Chassis is usually different but sometimes all the components and even the mobo inside certain Acers and Gateway laptops are the same. This is a case by case thing though - some are nearly identical, others are completely different.

Would you happen to know if the Gateway NE56R41u (15.6 inch) corresponds to any Acer models?

I'm afraid I won't be of any help now. I'm on a mountain trip and browsing on the phone at a very slow speed. If you get no answers by then please bump this thread on Monday, to remind me about it.
