do you know if is it possible to repaste cpu/gpu or this could void the warranty?

which one?

here i can read
"The warranty becomes null and void if the Acer sticker is tampered or missing, or if the unit was serviced by unauthorized service center or personnel."
https://www.acer.com/ac/en/PH/content/warranty -
There is no sticker as far as I know - maybe there are in some countries but that would be an exception for Acer.
So most likely you are not. -

No you don't have to. If there is no sticker than there is no problem (unless you brake something in which case it won't be covered by warranty).

so here there is a review of vn7-593g

this is the laptop
here cpu/gpu cooling system
what do you think? stickers which could be broken?Last edited: Mar 9, 2017 -
There is some sticker on the heat-pipe near the right fan but I doubt that is the warranty sticker. The warranty stickers - if they exist - are on the outside of the notebook so you could not open it.
Acer has not used them, so don't expect to find any. -
do you say here?

ACtually - that is not correct. Most warranty stickers nowdays are on the cooling solution as that is required for motherboard removal in most cases. OEMs do allow HDD/RAM upgrades but they don't allow anything further. Every laptop I have owned in the past 3 years has had the sticker on the heatpipes or screws keeping the heatsink in place. The outer shell ONLY has stickers on MSI laptops
To answer your question - Acer void the warranty on repaste. Everyone except Dell do. And even then you may have to do some explaining. -
I wasn't aware of that. This is what you get for not upgrading often enough I guess

Yeap, I was surprised too when swapping out the drives on the older Y50 - the stickers are on the large fan screw in my case. On my current machine, I believe the sticker should be on the heatsink screws.

if you buy a clevo barebone you can choose all components cpu, gpu, ram, ssd m2, hdd and you can also assembly your laptop. with dell/alienware you can repaste without problems. msi?

MSI don't allow anything - there is a sticker on the case that prevents opening.
Clevo barebones do have drawbacks - he chassis durability and keyboard are two of them - Alienware, Asus G701, Acer G9 - they're all better in this regard
Also, take a look at HiDevolution if you want a repaste - they offer it and give you warranty on the machine. -
here a review of p750zm which had a similar case (72/98 is the score for chassis, and 85/100 is the score for keyboard)

If you want a workstation - do NOT look at gaming laptops at all. You should look at professional business machines. That means.
Lenovo ThinkPad P series
HP ZBook series
Dell Precision series
Those machines have build quality far beyond anything Clevo can ever dream of - not to mention much better keyboards and BIOSes/validated software. Their battery performance is also superior. -
this is a variable that i have to consider.
and desktop cpu are a must for me if i have to pay 2000/2500$. -

A 6820HK/7820HK isn't that far behind desktop CPUs - most can get 4GHz with good cooling which is exactly the same as a 4GHz 6700/7700 in terms of performance.
And yes, you do have to pay extra for the best build quality in the business. Those machines above are the best of the best in terms of quality and support. -

Do you void the warranty if you repaste cpu/gpu of an acer laptop?
