    Does Acer Aspire One read and boot from USB flash drive?

    Acer Aspire One D150-1Bb
    CPU:Intel Atom processor N280 (1.66 GHz, 667 MHz FSB )
    RAM: DDRII 1GB
    HDD:160GB(SATA, 5400 rpm)
    OS: Windows XP Home Edition sp3
    (No built in optical drive)

    Boot options in BIOS:
    1. IDE 0 : TOSHIBA MK1652GSX
    2. IDE 1 :
    3. USB FDD :
    4. Network Boot : Atheron Boot Agent
    5. USB HDD :
    6. USB CDROM :

    One of the boot options of this machine is USB HDD in red.
    Does it read and boot from a USB flash drive?

    Yes it should do that. Easy thing to verify yourself too if you want to make sure.

    Please help a little bit more.
    If the following is accomplished,
    1. write the eRecovery onto a DVD disc,
    2. transfer the eRecovery from the DVD disc to a USB flash drive,
    3. plug the USB flash drive into this Acer Aspire One
    then, run recovery from this USB flash drive,
    what do you think the result will be?
    Does anybody have done this successfully?
