I heard Meaker had some success installing one of these into his 5935g/8935g

Dell Precision M4700 AMD Chelsea XT Graphics Card 0PR80C PR80C | eBay

Does it require hardmodding to get it to work? Like a soldered ROM chip? I cannot find any of these cards that have a ROM chip on them. Both Dell and HP ones do not seem to have a ROM chip on them, and the 7770m is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Many people have been saying that these cards will work with a 5935g, but I'm not convinced due to the lack of a ROM chip.

Aww yiss!! Thanks so much! So the one I included in the OP Dell Precision M4700 AMD Chelsea XT Graphics Card 0PR80C PR80C | eBay has a ROM chip? I see you've got one working in your 5739g, and If I must say, that is truly quite impressive!

EDIT: Took a peek at that thread and found a cheaper one http://www.aliexpress.com/item/For-...0-DDR5-VGA-video-card-Chelsea/1544072666.html. Thanks a bunch, propolkin! Is it safe to buy from Alibaba? I've never used it, but I have been considering purchasing a 4650 off there for my 5520g

You are welcome! ;) Yes, in the link you`ve posted there is M4000 with ROM chip.

I``ve never used aliexpress. But some users from 5739G thread, for example, used this site and never complained about it. I would prefer to use ebay.

I can believe that. Looking at the sellers feedback, it seems another user has bought that exact card, and left a positive! So far so good!
