i bought a aspire 02/2007,in july it was broken the first time,LCD got repaired but some scratches were made by acer,i tought it was no problem so....,1 month later the lcd has the same error,so i go back to the store and the lady says to me that it is impossible for me to make those kind of scratshes.so she makes a file with the scratches and the lcd whats broken.
now a few weeks later a go and look on the site how my laptop is doing,and i see that they are waiting for my approval????????
so i start calling acer (and thats not easy at all)after calling more then 200 euros,i finaly get someone on the phone who speaks english,that person tells me that the scratches are made by ME,and they have to be payed,hehehee.
150e costs for the scratches (1 that i didn't made,2 that i didn't asked to repaire)
now its getting even more funny,if i don't want them to repair the plastik,i have to pay 50e shipping costs,even if you know that the lcd again is repaired on acers costs????
the laptop now still is in repair in germany,for 2 months now.
acer sends me a text message on my mobilephone and a email when the laptop arrives in the repair centrum,acer also sends me a text message and a email when they start the repair,worst,acer even sends me a text.. and email when the laptop leaves theyr factory.but when they got a question about a stupid piece of plastic,acer has moved from this globe.
this fcking laptop has costed me more than a brand new dell.
now im going the legal way and i went to my lawyer,if anybody has a problem like this,please let me know ([email protected]) becos this is maffia style.

Well... what to say, you must be very angry or something when you're typing this message from the way you type.
What i am trying to say is, calm down, take a deep breath and try to understand that Acer... well what aspire model you owned? Acer is famous for making notebook with lower build quality notebook compare to the "standard" in order to lower the price and make poor people like me able to afford them.
As for service quality, oli, you need to understand that its not only Acer has bad service, i mean, you might say "oh Dell in my place provide far more better than what Acer provide", yes you are correct but there's place out there where Acer provide better service than Dell and normally problem like this is 1/100 or 1/1000 people depending on how strict the company service quality control is. Acer might be having less strict service quality control in order to once again lower the price of the production notebook (In my opinion).
There's many people out there also unlucky and face this kind of problem, do a search and you'll see. What my point is, study each company and notebook that you want to buy in order to avoid problem like this. You might want to consider some other brand who provide more solid notebook as seem like you're a careless person or travel a lot and i doubt Aspire can handle it. Still, you mention not a lot about what happen to your LCD so i got no idea what your problem is, or at least, what causing you the problem. -
in the middle of the screen appears a black line,10 cm wide al over the lcd.cheap laptops?? i payed it 1300 euro,for that money i get alot of other brands with the same specs
