I'm using a TravelMate 2420 for quite awhile now and I'm not satisfied with it.

First of all it overheats, but in general Acer laptops are overheating (asking friends who also use acer laptops)

And second the keyboard is very low quality, after 2 months when a bought it a key was stuck, i had to clean it... (newly bought laptop!)

My opinion is if you want to buy a laptop avoid Acer, or at least avoid this model.

I second that notion. the little plastic filler fell out of the USB port 1 week after i bought it AND one screw managed to dislodge itself 2 weeks after.

the paint wears off after 6 months use and the thing flexes like crazy.

Having said that i have dropped it onto the floor twice. It has 2 big cracks and the DVD is wonky but it still works.............maybe that soft flexible chassis acts like a shocl absorber
