I have completed the downgrade from Vista Home Premium to XP Pro on my Acer Aspire 5630, and all the XP drivers I downloaded from Acer's website worked perfectly - except the driver for the Acer (Bison) Orbicam. That one didn't work, the icon for the cam is on the desktop and when I click it to activate the cam, nothing happens...

Has anyone done this downgrade and encountered this issue? If so, what did you to to get the cam working?

Other than the issue with the cam, the 5630 runs faster and smoother with XP Pro as my experience has been...

A sidenote ... I also replaced the 160GB drive the 5630 came with, with a Western Digital 320BG drive, and the 5630 handles it nicely...

    do me a quick check.
take a look in msconfig start-up tab. and see if bison bar is shown to start at start-up.
i have the same bison bar software that just would not work.
when i stopped it in msconfig from starting up all worked fine.

EDIT: do you get a conflict message when you try to use it ?
