Or can it even be done? Up here in the Great White North, only the Travelmate is available from Acer with XP, somewhat limiting my selection to replace my Aspire 2001.

I want to keep my options open, so if it is not too hard to get rid of Vista and replace with XP Pro, I can be looking at the Aspire line as well.

    Thanks,

    Tman

Look on the Acer website and see what models come with both Vista and XP drivers. If there's drivers for XP for a certain model that comes with Vista from the store, you can be sure that you will have no trouble running XP on it.

Thanks, looks like lots of the Vista only machines have XP drivers available. That is good (but also makes the selection process harder  ).
