I have been struggling with my laptop overheating problems ever since I bought it, I almost tried everything ..... but alas nothing worked the final straw im hanging on is to downgrade my bios to the utterly old version 1.13 which is the last known stable & heat friendly version which is not on Acer website anymore  .... So I was wondering if anyone has the windows 7 x64 executable bios 1.13 for aspire 5738G on their laptop and willing to PM me on the forum to give him my mail to send it to me I will be very grateful

Have you ever tried booting from CD and flashing in DOS environment?
It is possible that WinFlash designed for Vista ain't gonna work under Win 7 (I assume you have administrative privileges)

I do have administrative privileges .... and I thought the same way that the vista may not winflash under 7, is it possible to have a virtual machine running an XP just to flash the bios ? because since I have no experience in flashing in DOS so the VM idea seems safer

No I don't think VM can do it.
Search the forums- it's been described here somewhere (the DOS flash I mean).

    I knew It wasn't really a clear sentence :D
I meant that you can't use VM AFAIK.
The other thing was that people here described how to prepare boot CD and flash in DOS environment- and that's what I recommend you go for.

hmmm..... I was always the one against flashing especially with someone who is not familiar with DOS .... but if it is the only solution then I think I should give it a shot
