I have an Acer Aspire 4730Z Laptop. I'm stuck with an Intel GMA 4500M for my graphics. I have purchased 2 monitors now, an AOC e950Sw and an Acer X163WL (both are LCD), and when I configure my desktop for extended display, the secondary monitor (not the built in display) flickers like you would see if the refresh rate were turned way down. I have downloaded and installed the latest drivers for both these monitors, reinstalled my display adapter, bumped the refresh rate all the way up to 75 Hz, set the monitors to their native resolutions, and nothing helps. There are horizontal lines scrolling up the display no matter what I do. I also plugged 2 different computers (one was a Toshiba, the other a Dell), into these monitors and they do not experience the same issue.

Any ideas / help would be much, much appreciated. I already spoke to customer support and they just had me do what I had already done (reinstall drivers, change refresh rate, adjust resolution).

Also, if anyone has set up dual display with this laptop and not experienced these issues, please tell me which monitor you are using.

I hate being stuck with the 14.1" built-in display... Dual is so much better.

    Thanks in advance
