    Good Morning
    My Name Is Ashari And I Have An Acer Aspire 55/1-5879 The Model Number Is Kaw60 And I Would Like To Know How I Might Be Able To Get The Part For The Dvd Part Of The Laptop. The Inside Where You Place The Disc In Is Broke And I Have Someone That Can Fix It I Just Need A Number To The Compant To Order The Part Or An Acer Rep That I Can Discuss My Issue With

    If you are on warranty, you can call Acer (look for a support link on thier website). Otherwise, I'd bet they use off the shelf parts, so you could probably find a replacement drive cheaper from some other place (online retailer etc). Also, caps lock is not necessary.

    Why isn't this in the Acer subforum?
    This is a brand specific issue - especially as you aren't asking for a generic drive.
