    Emachines Clean install problem

    Ok I did a clean install on my emachines e725-4520. I did it before when I first got it. But not sure if I had the same problem. Many know it comes with home premium 64 bit win 7.

    Which is what I clean installed it with. The problem is my product key will not work :mad: I thought before I downloaded the file from the sticky here to activate it but not real sure as the sticky is edited.

    Any way the key just says invalid. So is there another way I can get this activated easy with out setting on the phone. The file I need or program. I am not asking to activate it illegal either.

    As I done have every copy of win7 and that stuff. I want it done the right way since this is a true windows 7 laptop. Any help would be thankful

    Hi,

    I am assuming you want to use the key from the sticker on your laptop.
    A few years ago, MS decided to disable online activation for OEM keys from the big manufacturers.
    So you need to activate by phone.
