I've had to take apart my daughter's e625 laptop to replace the power connector. However, I did a big mistake when taking the thing apart: I forgot to take photos of what went where!!! I've managed to work out from a video on youtube how to get most if it back together (I took lots of screenshots of the guy dismantling the machine and simply reversed the resulting screenshots when I'd printed them off). There's still one major problem (apart from the fact that it still might not work but I'll worry about that in due course). The problem is on the machine's top surface there's a thin black cable which appears from the left-hand end of the right screen hinge. It's about 10 inches long and has a very small gold coloured connector of some description on the end. I can't for the life of me find out where it has to go. Does anyone have any suggestions please? Thank you.

It's a Wi-Fi antenna by the sound of it. You probably took it out - it's supposed to come back last with RAM and son on - once the notebook is already put back together so just route it in such a way that it's dangling in the Wi-Fi bay.

Are you sure there's no white cable just like this one coming from the other hinge?
